This letter is in support of Michael Bergeron and His advertising agency, Tri-Media. The Rangeley Lakes Region doesn’t enjoy the natural migration of tourist to the seacoast. We have to fight for every tourist dollar we earn, and Michael has helped us fight above our weight class. We received several Tourism Partnership Grants from the state, and Michael’s marketing plans were a big part of our receiving them. Every year, only a handful of grants generated tax revenue in excess of their grants, and we were always one of them. He handles all our advertising, and always seems to accommodate the challenges of getting an entire chamber moving in the same direction. After working with him for 18 years, I’d recommend Michael to anyone who wants someone working with them, not for them.

Here at AAA of Northern New England, we receive extensive marketing support from AAA National, but we still do a substantial amount of local advertising. We also produce many small video projects for training and presentations. It doesn’t matter what it was, a sign, a TV schedule, a video, with a call to Mike I knew it was taken care of. We do a large TV schedule for Christmas, and as part of that buy, Mike has been able to negotiate a substantial free schedule of safe driving tips. It serves the public and contributes to the success of our paid schedule. His commercials are still effective, and each year all we do is update membership prices. Working with Tri-Media, The St. Augustine, Lions, were able to attract Winn Dixie as the title sponsor for our annual Seafood & Music Festival. Mike re-worked all our sales materials before even starting on the advertising for the festival itself. This not only allowed us to attract Winn Dixie, but allowed us to generate the most sponsorship money we have ever raised. Over the years we faced many challenges, most of them weather-related, but we never had to worry about the advertising.
